Eligibility for Admission :

The Students seeking admission for BA-I st Semester in must have Passed II PUC Examination of the Karnataka State or any other Equivalent Examination.(As per the Karnataka University Dharwad  Admission Rules).

Group I Languages

  1. Basic English
  2. Kannada OR  Hindi   

 

Group II Optional Subjects:  Three Subjects of Equal Importance.(only one Practical Subject should be selected)

Group III    Indian Constitution (Compulsory)

B.A Semester  II: There is no provision for the change of subjects. The Subjects offered in I semester of Group I and Group II have to be Studied. “Human Rights & Environmental Studies” of Group III is Compulsory.

 

B.A Semester  III: There is no provision for the change of subjects. The Subjects offered in II semester of Group I and Group II have to be Studied. “Personality Development & Communication Skill ” of Group III is Compulsory.

 

B.A Semester  IV: There is no provision for the change of subjects. The Subjects offered in III semesters of Group I and Group II have to be Studied. “Computer Application ” of Group III is Compulsory.

 

B.A Semester  V: The Students of BA V Semester shall have to study the same 3 optional subjects studied at BA IV Semester. Basic English is not compulsory. Therefore, they can offer any one language from the 2 groups given below.

                              1. Basic English    2. Kannada  or  Hindi  

 

B.A Semester  VI: There is no provision for the change of subjects. The subjects studied at V semester of Group I and Group II have to be studied.

 

PRACTICAL EXAMINATIONS: Students who offer Psychology, Computer Application,  Geography, Criminology at BA I to IV  shall have to offer practical examinations of 50 marks in each subject. Whereas for BA V & VI semester it is 100 Marks in each Subject.
